The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved a five-year renewal of Oklahoma’s SoonerCare section 1115 demonstration. Approval of this demonstration authorizes the state to continue providing premium assistance through the Insure Oklahoma Employer Sponsored Insurance (IO-ESI) program for multiple demonstration populations, as well as continuing Health Access Networks (HAN) and the Health Management Program (HMP). The renewal removes some outdated demonstration authorities that are no longer active, but it does not change any authorities that are currently active in the demonstration.
This demonstration renewal is effective January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2031. Today’s approval and other administrative documents can be found on the Medicaid.gov demonstration page.
