NORC at the University of Chicago has partnered with the Center for Medicaid & CHIP Services (CMCS) to enable states to address gaps in their Behavioral Health Coordinated Systems of Crisis Care (BHCSCC) and ensure that individuals experiencing behavioral health crises receive timely, coordinated, and effective care.
Our goals are to:
- Develop and Enhance Behavioral Health Emergency and Crisis Care Systems: Provide states and localities with tools and strategies to build a comprehensive continuum of crisis response services that meet the needs of children, youth, and adults.
- Facilitate Access to Evidence-Based Solutions: Disseminate actionable, evidence-informed, data-driven models that states and localities can adapt and implement to strengthen crisis care delivery.
- Build Capacity for Implementation: Offer tailored support and opportunities for collaboration to help states and localities navigate the complexities of Medicaid and CHIP-funded crisis care systems.
- Promote Knowledge Sharing: Foster peer-to-peer learning opportunities that encourage states localities to share challenges, successes, and innovations.
