Understanding Ankylosing Spondylitis
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is an inflammatory disease that causes pain in your lower back. Once you have AS, doctors can see damage to your joints on an X-ray. AS progresses from a condition called non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA), which is more common than many of us realize.
