Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report CDC's Influenza Division produces a weekly influenza surveillance report, FluView. According to this week's report (Dec 2- 8), seasonal influenza activity remained at the national baseline level (2.2%) in the United States. Learn More Early-Season Flu Vaccination Coverage ​CDC released early-season flu vaccination coverage estimates for the 2018-2019 influenza season. The results show increased coverage for children aged 6 months-12 years and among all adult age groups. People should get vaccinated at least 2 weeks before travel because it takes 2 weeks for vaccine immunity to develop after vaccination.
