These meetings will provide an opportunity for everyone to discuss the existing national trust infrastructures used to exchange health information electronically and to share your views on electronic data sharing best practices. The webinar will look at existing screening tools, highlight current efforts to enable electronic capture of SDOH data elements, and demonstrate available resources to create interoperable SDOH tools, concepts, and data elements. All comments and recommendations submitted as part of this process will be made public by ONC. Deadline: Monday, July 31, 2017 at 5pm ET AUGUST 15-16: Beyond Boundaries: ONC's 2017 Technical Interoperability Forum ONC is hosting a two-day, in-person only forum focusing on the technical aspects of interoperability. This event is tailored for leaders, developers, and implementers of health IT systems or standards. Date & Time: Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 9:15am - 5:30pm ET & Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 9:00am - 1:00pm ET Register: Beyond Boundaries: ONC's 2017 Technical Interoperability Forum ICYMI: Improving the Medical Records Request Process ONC posted a new report and blog post identifying a number of ways to simplify the process for patients and health systems to request and share medical records. The report looks at the challenges patients and caregivers face in obtaining their health information and the processes and request forms used by more than 50 health systems across the country.
