| Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the State Medicaid Director Letter on Streamlined Modular Certification for Medicaid Enterprise Systems that provides guidance to states that will help reduce their administrative burden for Medicaid Information Technology project certification. Specifically, this letter provides updated Medicaid Information Technology project guidance, discusses requirements for states, and introduces a new framework and process to certify state Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) components to ensure the systems/technology comply with CMS requirements. |
