Opportunities and Resources

An Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) provides funding for small-scale research projects that give undergraduate students an opportunity to gain significant biomedical research experience.

NIAID aims to develop a range of approaches for studying bunyaviruses by prioritizing vector competence, virology and pathogenesis, and human innate and adaptive responses to infection while using both established and novel technologies.
