Manage Your Diabetes to Take Care of Your Heart

If you have diabetes, you have a greater chance of having heart problems. Taking care of your diabetes can help you take care of your heart. Manage your diabetes ABCs:

  • A: A1C test, a blood test that measures your average blood sugar level over the past three months.
  • B: blood pressure
  • C: cholesterol
  • S: if you smoke, get help to stop
