FDA researcher works with cells inoculated with mumps virus

Reported cases of mumps and pertussis have risen in the United States in recent years even though many people are vaccinated. And August is National Immunization Awareness Month. So the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is reminding you that scientists are working to learn why more cases are occurring, and how these vaccines—which are already safe and effective—can be made even better.
