Mitchell Harris has seen what happens when the bone of a service member with an amputation begins to grow abnormally. It breaks through the skin and causes the prosthetic not to fit properly. Harris is trying to find a way to identify bone lesions that might become a problem and treat them before the bone grows.
Humans normally blink about 18 times a minute. While staring at a computer—or video game, or hand held device—we blink only half as much, a situation that is resulting in computer vision syndrome (CVS), according to the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).
