Speakers include:

  • Dr. Ariel Pablos-Méndez, USAID Assistant Administrator for Global Health
  • Dr. Eric Goosby, United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy on Tuberculosis
  • The Honorable Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the United States of America
  • TB Survivors from South Africa, Indonesia and Tajikistan

TB claims a life every 18 seconds and especially affects the poor and vulnerable, as well as women, children and people living with HIV and AIDS.

The U.S. Government remains committed to the vision of a world free from TB, and to working with affected countries and international partners to reach every person with TB, cure those in need of treatment, and prevent new infections and curb the spread of the disease.
