If you were born between 1945 and 1965, a one-time test for Hepatitis C is recommended. Hepatitis C is a serious liver disease that results from infection with the Hepatitis C virus (HCV), which is spread primarily through contact with the blood of an infected person. Hepatitis C has been called a silent disease because people can get infected and not know it.
